Last July 2nd and 3rd, WatERP and WIDEST partners participated in the Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research (IAHR) world conference. More specifically, WatERP and WIDEST projects presented some scientific papers in the special session entitled "FP7 ICT and Water" whose chairman was Prof. Dragan Savic (WIDEST). Furthermore, several papers were presented on the session "Water Resources-Serious Gaming".

On the one hand, the "FP7 ICT and Water" special session scheduled at July 2nd was focused on presenting the current technological advancements in the water management and distribution in form of user engagement, foster behavioural change, demand management systems, water pricing and decision-support tools, among others. During this session, it is worth mentioning the presentation of our colleagues from Exeter University regarding the contributions to water directives and technologic roadmaps, covered also in WIDEST project. Detailed information about this session and the presented articles can be found at the IAHR web portal for the session.

On the other hand, the "Water Resources-Serious Gaming" session, scheduled at July 3rd, was focused on the state of the art of current technologies to foster behavioural change in user by using gaming tools (e.g. gamification, social networking, etc.), water footprint tools, decision support tools and early warning systems applied to water pollution and water distribution. In this session, Eurecat presented two articles entitled Towards a semantic and holistic architecture for water sensor data integration and Efficient energy management in water distribution through applying case-based reasoning (CBR).
